Romantic Wedding featured in BRIDES. Part 1: Beauty Asylum travels to the Tuscan countryside of Italy
Owner and artist Jessica Kendall packed up her wedding hair and makeup gear to travel abroad for her third European wedding. The large bridal party required additional hairstylists & makeup artists from the Beauty Asylum team. Jessica rented a villa in the countryside of Chianciano Terme, about 15 minutes from the wedding venue La Foce where the destination wedding would take place. The team extended their stay to enjoy the Italian culture.
“We also wanted to arrive early to prepare for any unforeseen travel issues.” Jessica mentioned.
'“Our beautiful bride Katie had her trial stateside in Atlanta, GA. I had the pleasure of working with Katie for the bridal preview (trial) in November 2020 . I am located in Charlotte, NC but I travel to Atlanta quite often with family in the south Atlanta area. November was a good time since we were around for the holidays. Myself and our Atlanta team provided trials for the mom and mother of the groom so they could enjoy the fun as well. The trial took place at the mother of the brides home located in Buckhead where they were hosting the engagement dinner that evening. This was a perfect time for Katie to try traditional makeup and see how everything would wear through the evening. We left with some homework and Katie came back with some great takeaways/adjustments for the big day. Katie knew I specialized in airbrush makeup and she liked the idea of switching to this option; one feedback from the trial was traditional makeup started to shine quickly.
A couple months after the trial the COVID vamped up. The couple had to postpone their destination wedding in Italy (2) times. At the time there was a lot of uncertainty around travel and safety for everyone involved. The final postponement push their date to August 25th, 2021 to ensure all attending guests would be healthy and safe. The lovely couple put together a stateside ceremony before they could travel to Italy and you can view their event, HERE. With the unexpected stateside ceremony we utilized airbrush makeup and Katie LOVED the results.
Fast forward a year later, and the BA team is hopping on a 10hr flight to Italy to get Katie and her wedding party beautiful for the welcome dinner, rehearsal and wedding day. Katie had a series of chic looks to compliment her classic style you can view below.
